We have won at this year's Creative Video Awards, taking the Best Picture and Best Audio awards in the professional category!
For the competition, film-makers, both professional and amateur, were asked to submit an original 3-minute video on the theme - Best Memory. We entered a short film titled "Locked", inspired by a medical condition called the locked-in syndrome where the patient is fully paralyzed but mentally conscious.
See some behind-the-scenes pictures!
We will like to thank Jodi Chan, our fantastic actress, who single-handedly lifted the emotive levels through her sterling performance. (She was also a former student at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, where we graduated from! Talents abound!)
And we must also thank Kang Li because the hands you see in the film are his.
A longer edit of the film can be seen here
*All of the winning videos will be broadcast on February 11 at 11pm and February 12 at 12.30pm on Channel 5. The winning videos will also be featured at the local screening of The Very Short International Film Festival and the Singapore Arts Festival later in May this year.

旧的不去,新的不来。We are clearing the excess baggage from last year as we transit into a new one. This is a lunar new year tradition that we do every year. OK, so this is the second year but we hope there will be many more to come. Going for a reunion lunch/dinner soon. And then a lunar new year outing at the KTV and games arcade, all paid for by the generous vouchers from a very nice client! 恭喜发财,新年快乐!Gong Xi Fa Cai and Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Our lives, our cultures, are composed of many overlapping stories. Novelist Chimamanda Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice -- and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country, we risk a critical misunderstanding.
For creators of stories, be mindful of the trap of fulfilling stereotypes. For readers of stories, understand that what you read or watch is usually not the complete story, or even real at all. For people like us who do both, it is all the more important to have this sensibility and then act on it.
But because we are not scientists here, we can only say we like the presentation of it.
A series of four videos to create hype and excitement for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games.
